Knowledge building

The Water Adaptation Communities aim to build knowledge on how to do water adaptation mainstreaming in different contexts. We have identified a few hotspot areas such as:

  • Urban areas
  • Drylands
  • Deltas and coastal zones

For these environments we aim to identify important steps in water adaptation mainstreaming, what we call the Adaptation Journey

Our discussions, dialogues and exchanges aim to dig deeper into understanding these challenges. The peer to peer interaction and involvement of practitioners also aim to make the dialogues relevant for practice, addressing burning issues.

The website is also designed to provide an overview of water adaptation. However the content is not complete. This is work in progress. We invite everyone to contribute by writing cases and articles for the website. If you register on the site, you can add content yourself. Three administrators of the WAC website can then approve your content when you have submitted it. If you have any questions please contact write us an email: wac@gca.org.
