me crop - climate adaptation.

Dear colleagues,

One of our goals in the Adaptation at Altitude (AaA) programme is to make climate change adaptation solutions for mountain regions easier to find, explore, and appraise for everyone working on this topic, and to give visibility and recognition to those developing them.

To do this we are developing a global and open-access database of adaptation solutions. Solutions include, for example, technical solutions (e.g., Early Warning Systems), soft solutions (e.g., training and capacity building programs), or good practice approaches and processes. This database will be hosted on weADAPT.org, and will be promoted across various international meetings and conferences, including COP26.  Find out more about the database here.

We would like to hear from you!

We want this database to work for and with everyone engaged with climate change adaptation in mountains. To this end, we invite you to comment on the evaluation criteria we are proposing. We also welcome you to provide input for the design of the database. You can find out more information on these aspects here.

Please share your thoughts by responding to this post or alternatively, you can chat with us by emailing the weADAPT team at info@weADAPT.org.

We are currently welcoming comments for the first version of the database by 31st March 2021, but all insights will be taken on board.

Contribute your solutions to the database!

You can contribute solutions to the database via the survey here: https://www.weadapt.org/adaptation-at-altitude-survey.

Alternatively, you can contribute solutions using the survey document attached below, under Further Resources, and email it to us at info@weADAPT.org.

You can read more about activities of the AaA programme here: https://adaptationataltitude.org/

Thank you in advance for your participation.
